Based on his book of the same name, he will share stories about the Ford hunger march, the riot of 1943 and the Italian POWs housed during World War II. You will also hear how Detroit was the place for the beginning of the end of Lou Gehrig’s storied baseball career. These tales and more will be featured in this interesting and fascinating program.
